Rules for the SASJ challenge are attached as a PDF schedule. Each Rider is accountable tp follow these rules when entering.
1) Pony riders are allowed to compete in the Childrens classes, age of rider permitted to ride will be up till the end of the year they turne 16.
2) Horse and rider combinations that have competed at a higher level then the level they want to compete in at the show will nt be permitted. They will have to jump the highest level they have competed during the 12 months preceeding the first day of this show.
3) Only 2 horses per rider may compete in one height

GENERAL SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS:
1. All jumping competitions will be conducted under SASJ rules & FEI sj rules and attached rules for the SASJ challenge
2. Substitutions must be made on the form provided and given to the organising committee 30 minutes before the start of the event in question, only the horse OR rider may be substituted.
3. Right of admission for any retailers is reserved. Bookings must be made before the show.
4 No person OR company may conduct, promote, hand out, receive items OR payment that may constitute doing any form of business during ESP’s show
5 All dogs to be kept on leads
6. Please do not phone to enquire what number you are riding
7 Entry form must be faxed or emailed with proof of payment
8 The organisers reserve the right to limit, cancel, postpone,divide or change the day of the classes.
9 Sponsors, Owners and Riders, Horses or Ponies must be registered with the SAEF/ SASJ for the 2019 subscription year as at the closing date of entry as recreational members which is free. Entries out of order at closing date will be forfeited.
10. All stallions must have a yellow disc on both sides of the bridle or have a yellow ribbon in the tail
11 No use of paddocks, lunge arenas or arenas other than those demarcated for the use of the show are to be used – under penalty of disqualification
12 Abuse of the horse will be strictly prohibited and observed.
13 Late entries will only be accepted if confirmed by organising committee, if you make a payment for a late entry that is not accepted then refund will be less administrative fee of R100.
14 Entries will not be refunded if withdrawn after closing date of entries, unpaid entries after closing date are still liable for payment but can be sold.
15 Entries that are purchased privately must be given to the organising committee at least 24 hrs before the event in question begins; this must be sent to the show holder with the form which is available on the SA Show Jumping website.
16 The onus is on the competitor to check the program when it is published on the web (Wed lunchtime) and to ensure that their email address is updated with the organising committee. Any change to the schedule will be published on the web together with the program and a newsflash will be sent out
17. Competitors may only purchase entries in their class and must be done 24hrs in advance
18 TIME TABLE: Whilst the published time table will be adhered to as far as possible, the Organising Committee, reserves the right to make such alterations as it deems necessary. Competitors are advised to check the starting times of their classes with the Show Secretary.
19 No movement from class heights will be allowed at the show
20 I INDEMNIFY OFFICIALS, EMPLOYEES AND ASSISTANTS (CALCORP INTERNATIONAL CC AND ITS MEMBERS) AND HOLD HARMLESS AGAINST RESPONSIBILITY OR CLAIM THAT MAY BE MADE AGAINST THEM FOR ANY LOSS, INJURY, DEATH AND OR DAMAGES CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE.
