Entry Message

All entries are to be done on the SASJ website at sashowjumping.co.za                                                     

There are two separate shows in SASJ – one for Recreational Classes and one for Graded Classes.  Please make sure you select the correct show when entering. To register as Recreational rider and horse is FREE on SASJ.

The following classes are available: 

1.         Competition in 2 Phase (FEI Art 274.2)

2.         A2 Competition (FEI Art 238.2.1)

3.         Championships (FEI Art 238.2.2)  (FEI Art 245.3)

Entry Fees

50 – 80cm Recreational      R200    

90cm – 1m Graded              R245

1.1m - 1.25m Graded           R275

1.3m and higher                  R325

A late entry fee of R300 per horse/rider combination will be enforced.

The entry fee includes the following levies :    

SASJ levies : R 20 ( recreational ) , R 60 ( PR and Jnr ) , R 60 ( adult 90cm to 1.25m ) , R 80 ( adult 1.3m and higher ) EDTS levy :  R 5.13  
Admin / medic levy : R 54 recreational , R37 graded

Ground Fee of R 60 per horse per discipline

The entry fee excludes :    

PERC members : Competitor Fee of R 130 per graded PERC member rider per show (to be invoiced separately)

Non PERC members : Temporary membership fees of R 240 (non graded) and R 350 (graded) for non members of PERC 

Entry Close Message

Stables :  R 150 day/night or R 350 for duration, Vibracrete – R200 day/night or R 500 for duration        Paddocks : R 150 for duration.

To be booked using the attached Entry Summary and Stable Booking form.  Please indicate if horse / pony is to be stabled close or next to other horses. Please indicate if horse is a stallion.

Payment for entries and stabling must be made , and proof of payment emailed , together with entry / stable booking form, to percoffice@gmail.com by the entry closing date Thursday              16 JANUARY 2025 Entries will be not processed if these are not received by entry closing date.

 

 

Ground Levy Message

PERC GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL DISCIPLINES          

  1. Payments are due on the closing date. Proof of payment must be emailed to percoffice@gmail.com by entry closing date. The policy of "No Pay, no Ride" will be strictly enforced.
  2. EFT is preferred, if the payment is made via card / cash deposit or any other method that results in bank charges, these will be billed to the customer
  3. No horse may enter the show without a horse flu vaccination and AHS, please complete details (date & batch number) on entry form.
  4. No refunds/credits will be made in respect of scratchings after closing date of entries.
  5. Times will be up on the notice board 24 hours prior to the commencement of a show, and the final programme will be e mailed to all members of the PERC. Non-Members may send the club secretary an e-mail requesting the programme. No times will be given over the phone.
  6. Please note that the only time that is exact is the starting time for the day, all other events will run on.
  7. Insofar as possible, the program and conditions relating thereto will be adhered to. However, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to make alterations in the event of unfavourable weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances. The Organizing Committee further reserves the right to combine, vary, divide or cancel classes if insufficient entries are received.  Depending on entries classes may be combined and/or handicapped and separate prizes will not be awarded. The show holding body of the PERC reserves the right to limit entries, depending on the total number of entries received per class.
  8. Should the show be cancelled for any reason only 50% of entry fees will be refunded. No entries will be refunded if the show is postponed.
  9. The SAEF, DSA, SASA, SAEQA, SASJ, ESA and the Port Elizabeth Riding Club, including their staff , organizers , committee members and all officials appointed by them , shall in no way be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury sustained to or by owners, competitors, grooms, horses , members of the public or any other person or persons or their property at the PE Riding Club for the duration of show.  By entering this show you hereby indemnify them from any and all claims in connection with your participation in the show.
  10. Please note that all PERC arenas of are out of bounds at all times except during shows.
  11. All horses / ponies that are prone to kicking must wear a red ribbon on their tails
  12. No fires are allowed anywhere on the premises at any time except in the designated braai area
  13. By entering a stallion at the PERC, the competitor & owner agree to the following:
    1. Competition stallions remain the responsibility of the owner and rider at all times and are expected to have public liability against any loss, injury or damage that might be caused by the stallion
    2. It is the responsibility of the owner & rider to ensure that the stallion cannot exit the stable allocated to it on its own/or with the help of another horse or uninformed person.
    3. The stallion may only be removed from the stable during the show for exercise, preparation or competition & only by a responsible handler or rider.
    4. Under NO circumstances shall the covering of mares be allowed to take place at the PERC premises.
    5. All stallions must wear a yellow tag on their bridles at all times.
  14. All dogs must be on leads
  15.  Competitors are expected to be respectful and co-operating with the medical staff. Failure in this regard may result in a penalty.
  16. PERC ground staff will close all perimeter gates as well as the gates of the stable block at the end of each show day. PERC will not accept responsibility nor liability for any gates that are thereafter left open by riders, owners or grooms. No temporary paddocks are permitted.
  17. It is the responsibility of all competitors to ensure they and their horses are correctly registered with all National and Provincial bodies. All FEI and SAEF rules shall apply.
