1.  I warrant and undertake that all the information contained in this application is true and correct.

2.  I acknowledge that as a member of South African Showjumping (SASJ), I will be bound by the constitution, regulation and rules of SASJ, as well as those of the South African Equestrian Federation ("SAEF") and the Federation Equestre International ("FEI") under whose auspices SASJ operates. I accept responsibility for ensuring that I am aware of all provisions of such constitutions, regulations and rules at all times, and for abiding thereby.

3.  I acknowledge that in participating in any way or in any capacity in any competition, event or activity organised by or under the auspices of SASJ, SAEF or FEI, or of any affiliated body of SASJ or SAEF or FEI, I may be taking part in an inherently dangerous activity.

5.  I waive any claims which I may have against SASJ, SAEF, FEI or their members, affiliated bodies, associated bodies, employees, officials, office bearers, invitees, visitors, contractors, agents and/or representatives (same being hereinafter together referred to as "the designated persons") in respect of any injury, death, loss or damage which I may sustain in connection with or arising out of such participation by me, notwithstanding that same may have been occasioned by any negligent or malicious act or omission of any designated person (including persons for whom a designated person is vicariously liable).

6.  I indemnify the designated persons against any claims in respect of injury, death, loss or damage of whatsoever nature arising out of or in connection with such participation by me, notwithstanding that same may have been occasioned by any negligent or malicious act or omission of any designated person (including persons for whom a designated person is vicariously liable).

I unconditionally accept the jurisdiction and the constitution of South African Showjumping (SASJ) and the South African Equestrian Federation (SAEF) and FEI for FEI Events for myself, person responsible and /or guardian whatever is applicable.

7.  As an owner, or athlete – I agree to Annexure A that any branded kit, is correctly registered as a sponsor for the current year as per Annexure A.

8.  “By registering as a member, I acknowledge SASJ and SAEF as the governing federations and hereby consent to the collection, processing, and use of my personal data for federation-related purposes, including but not limited to communication, compliance, event management, and regulatory oversight, in accordance with the SASJ , SAEF Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).”

9.  As a registered SASJ member, I acknowledge and agree that, in the event of a fall or medical incident during competition, relevant medical information pertaining to my condition and fitness to continue competing (including approval to ride another horse or participate in a subsequent class) may be disclosed by the paramedics or medical doctor on duty to the Presiding Ground Jury (PGJ), SASJ Representative, and Show Director, as and when required. This disclosure is solely for the purpose of ensuring rider safety, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making during the event.

By registering as a member, you acknowledge and agree that portions of the event may be live streamed or recorded for promotional, educational, or archival purposes. This may include video and audio of participants, instructors, and activities. By attending, you consent to the use of your likeness and voice in such recordings and broadcasts, without compensation. If you have concerns or require accommodations, please contact the event organizer prior to the event.

By registering as a member, you agree that participants and spectators acknowledge and consent to being photographed and/or filmed. These images may be used by SASJ or the Show Holding Body for promotional, archival, or media purposes across print and digital platforms, including social media, without compensation.
