THOROUBRED SERIES:
Competitors may be affiliated or non-affiliated. Each class will have a prize giving. All affiliated classes are open to all breeds INCLUDING THOROUGHBREDS in order to get grading points. Non-affiliated classes will be held for non-affiliated thoroughbreds competing in the thoroughbred series. At the end of each non-affiliated class overall thoroughbred placings will be given.
POINTS
Points will be awarded to riders in accordance with the Qualification points system. Points for the series will be calculated from all the Qualifiers and the Final Qualifier to obtain the Series final overall results.
The horse will carry the points in this series, the rider may change. Horses may be affiliated or not affiliated to be part of the THOROUGHBRED SERIES. (Pure bred thoroughbreds only). If the riders choose to move horses between the grades - the horses’ points will stay in that particular grade jumped. Points will not be carried over into the other grades, whether higher or lower. Horses will not lose their current ranking points in any particular grade, but will only qualify for the overall championship in the grade they select to compete at the final event.
This competition will run as a 'competition, inside of a competition', there will be normal classes, not related to the THB series. Class will run as one class, with separate prize giving’s.
Non - Affiliated horses will only be part of the THB series, no other prizes will be awarded.
Recreational classes will receive rosettes only.
Classes: 4a, 9a, 10a, 31a, 5a, 28a – these classes will be for recreational thoroughbreds only and will need to be entered via the Penbritte Website – proof of breeding will be required. These classes will be incorporated with the relevant graded classes, competitors will only be eligible for the thoroughbred prizes
Classes 29, 30, 25 & 26 – are open to all recreational riders and all breeds, these classes will be incorporated into the thoroughbred series – riders will need to indicate for thoroughbred horses – proof of breeding will be required.
Classes 101, 102, 103, 104 – open to recreational horses and riders – not included in the Thoroughbred series.
FINAL EVENT
Riders will only qualify for the overall championship in the grade selected to compete, at the final event. Any other points occurred in previous heights/grades jumped will fall away.
(For example, If riders have competed in both 80cm and 90cm classes over the year - but choose to compete in the 80cm Championship at the finals – all points accumulated in the 90cm classes will fall away. The rider will then only be eligible for the 80cm overall prizes)
The final event is open to all riders (there will be normal graded classes for all breeds incorporated in the event) – whether competed in previous qualifiers or not.

If faxing entries and depositing money to our account, please fax us your deposit slip as well. Please confirm that we have received your entry & payment advice by closing date. The organisers reserve the right to cancel and/or alter the program should they deem it necessary. Late or entries unaccompanied by the correct entry fee will not be accepted. Current SASJ and FEI Show jumping rules will apply to this show. Competitors are required to be correctly dressed. Neither Penbritte Equestrian Centre, SASJ nor the show jumping body, its officials or representatives shall in any way be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft or injury sustained by horses, riders, appointed officials, the public or their property at the show, caused by, or resulting from this show. Refunds will be made if the show is cancelled or oversubscribed. A deduction of R10 per horse will be made on entries paid by cash deposit.
