The entry fee includes the following levies :   

SASJ levies : R 20 ( recreational ) , R 65 ( PR and Jnr ) , R 65 ( adult 90cm to 1.25m ) , R 85 ( adult 1.3m and higher ) EDTS levy :  R 6.50 
Admin / medic levy : R45
Official Levy: R18

Ground Fee of R 20 per horse per discipline

Temporary Membership: R350

LATE ENTRIES:  Will be accepted at the discretion of the show director, with a fee of R300 per entry, up until 12 October 2026, thereafter NO LATE ENTRIES will be accepted.

REFUNDS: No refunds will be given after closing date of entries, only entries that are withdrawn before close of date will be refunded.   If, however, due to inclement weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, should it necessitate cancelling the show, 80% of the entry fee will be refunded.

The allocation of stabling accommodation is carried out by the Show Director and under no circumstances may the competitor change his / her stabling accommodation or alter the stabling list without prior consultation with, and approval of, the SHOW DIRECTOR

Any payments made after the closing date will be considered as a LATE ENTRY and a fee of R300 will apply.   Only entries with proof of payment will be accepted.  The organisers reserve the rights to combine classes if entries warrant.

BOUGHT AND SOLD ENTRIES            Bought and sold entries will be allowed provided the correct documentation is submitted within the correct time frames and the original rider has signed the form.   Bought and sold entries will only be allowed provided the OC does not have a waiting list to fulfill first.  Please contact the OC before selling entries.   There will be no buying or selling of entries after the 15 October 2026.   Forms                                                                             received thereafter will not be accepted.

Ground Levy Message

PERC GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL DISCIPLINES

           

  1. Payments are due on the closing date. The policy of “No Pay, no Ride” will be strictly enforced.
    EFT reference: "NAME & SURNAME OF RIDER" e.g. Joy Smith

  2. No horse may enter the show without a horse flu vaccination and AHS, please complete details (date & batch number) on entry form.

  3. PAYMENT METHODS - EFT is preferred, if the payment is made via card / cash deposit or any other method that results in bank charges, these will be billed to the customer.

  4. No refunds/credits will be made in respect of scratchings after closing date of entries.

  5. Times will be up on the notice board 24 hours prior to the commencement of a show, and the final programme will be emailed to all members of the PERC. Non-Members may send the club secretary an email requesting the programme. No times will be given over the phone.

  6. Please note that the only time that is exact is the starting time for the day, all other events will run on.

  7. Insofar as possible, the program and conditions relating thereto will be adhered to. However, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to make alterations in the event of unfavourable weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances. The Organizing Committee further reserves the right to combine, vary, divide or cancel classes if insufficient entries are received.  Depending on entries classes may be combined and/or handicapped and separate prizes will not be awarded. The show holding body of the PERC reserves the right to limit entries, depending on the total number of entries received per class.

  8. Should the show be cancelled for any reason only 50% of entry fees will be refunded. No entries will be refunded if the show is postponed.

  9. The SAEF, DSA, SASA, SAEQA, SASJ, ESA and the Port Elizabeth Riding Club, including their staff , organizers , committee members and all officials appointed by them , shall in no way be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury sustained to or by owners, competitors, grooms, horses , members of the public or any other person or persons or their property at the PE Riding Club for the duration of show.  By entering this show you hereby indemnify them from any and all claims in connection with your participation in the show.

  10. Please note that all PERC arenas are out of bounds at all times except during shows.

  11. All horses / ponies that are prone to kicking must wear a red ribbon on their tails

  12. No fires are allowed anywhere on the premises at any time except in the designated braai area

  13. By entering a stallion at PERC, the owner and rider accept full responsibility and must hold public liability cover. Stallions must be securely stabled and may only be handled by a responsible rider or handler. Covering of mares is strictly prohibited. Stallions must wear a yellow bridle tag at all times.

  14. All dogs must be on leashes during equestrian shows - off-leash dogs will incur a R300 fine. Owners must clean up after their dogs.

  15.  Competitors are expected to be respectful and co-operating with the medical staff. Failure in this regard may result in a penalty.

  16. PERC ground staff will close all perimeter gates as well as the gates of the stable block at the end of each show day. PERC will not accept responsibility nor liability for any gates that are thereafter left open by riders, owners or grooms. No temporary paddocks are permitted.

  17. It is the responsibility of all competitors to ensure they and their horses are correctly registered with all National and Provincial bodies. All FEI and SAEF rules shall apply.

  18. Only club-approved official photographers may sell images at events. Commercial photography without prior permission is prohibited. Competitors may opt out of being photographed by notifying the secretary in writing before the event. Personal photography is allowed if non-disruptive.

  19. Horses staying after the show's conclusion are at the owner’s sole risk. Stables must be secured, and the Show Secretary must be notified in writing.
