Entries cancelled after closing date of entries will not be refunded.
Should the event have to be cancelled for unforeseen circumstances the OC will refund 80% of entry fee. Should any competitor request a refund before closing date – a 15% administration charge will be taken off the amount

ENTRY FEE:
NATIONAL CLASSES (CSN):
1.30 and 1.35 has 3 classes in the composite fee and the 4th class is the Hilmar at an additional fee -
So there is a National Chamionship for 1.30 - 1.35 and The Hilmar Championship
Riders may only enter in one of the two height Championships (1.30 or 1.35) plus all may enter Hilmar
Classes - 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1,4 1.5 (1.30 /1.35 Young Riders composite fee R1100-00) 3 classes
Class 2- Turnierstall Hilmar Meyer Final - Open to all Juniors and Y/R – 1.30 – R400-00
Classes 3.1 to 2.8 Pony Rider 1.10 and Pony Rider 1.20 Composite fee- R1200-00 (4 classes)

Entries:
Entries close on Tuesday 30th August 2016 and will only be accepted if they have been received with payment by that date.
PRIZE MONEY:
A minimum of 60% of the total entry fee will be paid out to CN status classes and a minimum of 40% will be paid out to provincial classes. This excludes any sponsorship money offered independently from the allocated prize money.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Dress:
Jackets Only - No Provincial or sponsored shirts may be worn.
Substitutions:
Application for substitutions must be made on the form provided at the secretary’s office not later than 30 minutes before the commencement of the competition concerned or as per the discipline rules. The new rider must sign the substitution forms, indicating that he has the consent of the competitor originally entered.

Feed & Bedding:
Initial wood shavings bedding will be supplied, thereafter bedding can be purchased at the Show office. Food can be ordered from feed companies.

Grooms Facilities:
No groom’s accommodation is available. Competitors are advised to provide their groom with suitable accommodation (tents etc.) Ablution facilities, with hot water, will be provided. Meals will be available for the duration of the show from .The grooms will receive 3 meals per day including coffee and cool drinks the cost will be R150 per day.
No tents are allowed to be erected in the stable block perimeter.
Cancellation and combination of classes:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the organizing committee, in conjunction with the discipline representatives, reserves the right to cancel or combine classes and restrict entries (other than those applicable to championships and their qualifying classes) to a practical number. Entry fees will be refunded for any entries not accepted.
Variation of programme:
The programme will be adhered to as far as possible. The organizing committee in conjunction with the discipline representative reserves the right to make alterations in the event of insufficient or excessive entries, unfavourable weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Competitor Obligations:
- Athletes are obliged to ride in all competitions for which they have qualified, unless they have been granted dispensation by the discipline Rep. This will normally only be given where a medical or veterinary certificate certifying that the rider or horse is unfit to compete, is produced for the competition concerned. - All athletes and horses are required to appear in parades when requested to do so.
- Prize-winners should be mounted when receiving their awards and both horse and rider must be properly dressed and turned out.
- No blankets may be worn in the competition arenas unless permission is given by the show convenors.
- Failure to co-operate and comply with these obligations may result in the forfeiting of all prize-money, rosettes, trophies and/or grading points for that athlete, unless permission is given by the discipline Rep.
Exercising of Horses and Ponies - At no time during the event may horses be exercised in the competition arenas. Only designated, officially supervised warm up arenas may be used.
Responsibility for damage, loss or injury:
The Sponsors, SAEF, SASJ, Maple Ridge and their officials shall in no way be responsible for any damage, loss or injury sustained by owners, competitors and members of the public or any other persons or their property whatsoever.
Dogs:
All dogs must be kept on leads at all times on the show grounds.

Protest & Appeals:
SASJ – R750 as per SASJ Regulations
Classes will be run at 350 mpm unless conditions necessitate a change 0.70cm, 0.80cm & 0.90cm @ 300 mpm & 1.00m classes will be run at 325 mpm. All classes will be run under SASJ Jumping Rules and those applying to the Junior/young rider South African Championship.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to restrict entries for the jumping classes to a workable maximum giving preference to higher levels and team competitors .
Entry fees will be refunded for any entries NOT accepted.
No rider may ride more than two horses in the 2014 South African Junior/Young Rider Championships of S A.
CODE OF CONDUCT
FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE
The South African Equestrian Federation (SAEF) expects all those involved in National Equestrian sport to adhere to SAEF’s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that the welfare of the pony/horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences.
REGULATIONS and NOTES:
All horses must have been vaccinated against Equine influenza according to SAEF regulations. Vaccinations are valid for six months and must be renewed prior to expiry; otherwise primary and secondary vaccinations will have to be re-administered. All horses travelling to the AHS surveillance area / Free zone must apply according to the SOP for entering into the Controlled area prior to the commencement of the return journey. A Permit must be issued by the State Veterinarian and be accompanied by a valid health certificate (in the passport) signed by a Private Veterinarian, not more than 48 hours prior to travelling. All horses and ponies must have been vaccinated by a VETERINARIAN against African Horse Sickness using a registered polyvalent African Horse Sickness vaccine as prescribed by the manufacturer and in accordance with SAEF Veterinary rules.
All horses and ponies must be in possession of and be accompanied by a SAEF or FEI Group IX passport.
Details of all vaccinations must be entered in the passport.
A random check of passports will be conducted to ensure that they comply. Competitors not complying with the
above will be fined and may be refused entry onto the grounds. No entries will be accepted without the relevant
AHS and flu vac details stamped in the passport
No flu vaccination may be administered within 7 days of arriving at the show grounds.
