Please note the new rule regarding bought entries:

Full change of the original entry must be done at least before 12 noon the day before the commencement of the first class of each day.

Thereafter, only if scratchings are available to buy in class required.

Prizes

40% (minimum) of entry fees received less levies in GRADED CLASSES only. 

Levies:

R30 - Medical; R10 - Officials; Plus applicable SASJ, EDS and WCMEC evies.

Rosettes only in Recreational Classes - Entry fees have been adjusted accordingly. 

Neither the WCMEC, SASJ or SAEF, nor their representatives and officials, will be held responsible for loss, damage, theft or injury sustained by horses, riders, grooms, appointed officials, the public or their property whatsoever. 


Terms And Conditions

EXERCISING OF HORSES

NO exercising of horses is allowed in the main arena.  There will be warming up arenas allocated for exercising your horse.

Horses and riders/handlers who are not in the arena within 2 minutes after the class is called will not be allowed to compete in that class.

 

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. We regret that no horse may enter the show without a horse flu vaccination and AHS.
  2. NO refunds will be made in respect of cancellations and scratchings after closing date of entries.
  3. Tthe final program will be e-mailed to all entrants a minimum of 72 hours before the start of the show. NO times will be given over the phone.
  4. Please Note: the Organizing Committee reserves the right to combine, vary, divide or cancel classes if insufficient entries are received. .
  5. Insofar as possible, the program and conditions relating thereto will be adhered to. However, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to make alterations in the event of unfavourable weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances and should the show be cancelled for any reason only 50% of entry fees will be refunded. No entries will be refunded if the show is postponed. In case of postponement of the show, entries will be carried over.
  6. SAEF, SASJ or WCMEC, the organisers and any officials appointed by these shall in no way be held responsible for any damage, loss, injury sustained by owners, competitors, members of the public or any other person or persons or their property at the West Coast Military Equestrian Club for the duration of show.
  7. In all jumping classes juniors and adults will be combined.
  8. Depending on entries; classes may be combined and/or handicapped and separate prizes will not be awarded. This applies to jumping classes.
  9. By entering a stallion at WCMEC, the competitor & owner agree to the following conditions & agree to abide by the following protocol:
  • Competition stallions remain the responsibility of the owner & rider at all times & they are expected to have public liability against any loss, injury or damage that might be caused by the stallion.
  • It is the responsibility of the owner & rider to ensure that the stallion cannot exit the stable allocated to it on its own/or with the help of another horse or uninformed person.
  • The stallion may only be removed from the stable during the show for exercise & preparation/competition & only in the presence of a responsible handler or rider.
  • Under NO circumstances shall the covering of mares be allowed to take place at the WCMEC premises.
  • All stallions must wear a yellow ribbon in their tails at all times.
  1. The show holding body of WCMEC reserves the right to limit entries, depending on the total number of entries received per class.
  2. Please note that a horse or pony may not compete in more than 5 classes across all disciplines per day.
  3. Please note that the relative discipline rules with regard to classes per day will apply in conjunction with the WCMEC rule of no more than 5 classes per horse or pony per day and SA Show Jumping rule of no more than 3 rounds per day.

Stabling is on a first-come-first-served basis - please indicate on this entry form. Water and bedding included. Please supply own water buckets. 

Paddocks/Shutes are available on a first-come-first-served basis - please indicate on this entry form. Water is included. 

Grooms meals will be available and has to be ordered with entries. No additional meals will be available at the event.
