SECTION 7: SASJ NATIONAL COMPETITION RULES

SASJ Competition LEVELS

These competitions are restricted to the Adult and Junior Age Groups and separate
classes must be held for each age group. Competitors eligible to compete in both Age Groups in any one calendar year may only compete in one age group in that year.

ADULT

Adult 1.40

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.40m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition
Adult 1.35
Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.35m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition

Adult 1.30

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.30m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition
Adult 1.20
Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.20m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.

Adult 1.10

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.10m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.
Adult 1.00
Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.00m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.

Adult 90

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 90m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 80m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition

JUNIOR

Junior 1.30

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.30m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.
Junior 1.20
Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.20m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.

Junior 1.10

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.10m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.

Restricted to horse and rider combination that have not competed at levels higher than 1.00m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition

Junior 90

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 90m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.
Junior 80
Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 80m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.

Entry fees include SASJ, EDS and Medical Levy

CHILDREN

Run under the FEI Childen's Classics Rules combining both pony riders and child rider classes

Age of rider permitted to ride will be up till the end of the year they turn 16.

Children 1.20

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.20m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.

Childfen  1.10

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 1.10m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.
Children 1.00
Restricted to horse and rider combination that have not competed at levels higher than 1.00m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition

Children 90

Restricted to horse and rider combinations that have not competed at levels higher than 90m in any Recognised Event during the 12 months preceding the first day of the competition.

Terms And Conditions

•    Neither SDRC, SASJ or SAEF nor their representatives and officials will be held responsible for loss, damage, theft or injury sustained by horses , riders, grooms, appointed officials, the public or their property whatsoever
•    Riders are expected to have public liability insurance against loss, injury or damage that might be caused by their horse
•    The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, combine or change any class should it be deemed necessary
•    The Event will be run under SASJ and SAEF Regulations
•    HARD HATS ARE COMPULSORY AND TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN MOUNTED
•    Right if Admission to SDRC Grounds is reserved
•    Competition Stallions remain the responsibility of the owner & rider at all times and they are expected to have public liability against loss, injury or damage that might be caused by the stallion.  A stallion should remain under the control of a responsible handler or rider at all times, and should not be allowed to spoil other riders enjoyment of the show.
•    The Organisers reserve the right to limit the entries on a first-come-first-served basis.
•    Dogs to be on leads PLEASE
