Entry Fees:

R465,00 per horse/pony per class - Recreational Classes 

R510.00 per horse/ class Graded classes.pony rider & 0.90m - 1.25m

R545.00 per horse/class Graded Open classes 1.30-1.35m

Fees include levies per class of Payfast R15, R166.00 for officials,medics,safety officer & other levies, and SASJ levies as follows:

Adults,Juniors,child riders 60 – 80cm (Recreational Classes) R20.00

Amateur 90cm - 1,25m R65.00

Adult Open R 85.00 per class

EDS levy per class – all grades R6.50

PAYFAST levy per class - R15.00

RIDERS WHO ARE NOT PAID UP MEMBERS OF DURBAN SHONGWENI NEED TO PAY A TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP WITH THEIR ENTRY (PONY RIDER/JUNIOR R230, ADULT R460)

ENTRIES & TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIPS ARE ALL PAYABLE VIA PAYFAST AND IF NOT PAID WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR ONLINE ENTRY, WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DELETED BY THE PAYFAST/SASJ SYSTEM

STRICTLY on 27 October 2025, or as soon as the arenas are full.

Sponsors, Owners and Riders, Horses or Ponies must be registered with SAEF & SASJ for the 2025 subscription year as at the closing date of entry . Entries out of order at closing date will not be accepted. This  applies to late entries as well.

LATE ENTRY FEE  R100 per horse extra (please check first if we have space before you pay- late entries without the extra payment will not be accepted)

ROSETTES, PRIZES, VOUCHERS, GOOD PRIZE MONEY (minimum 60%) to Recreational Summer Classic classes and to all graded class prize winners. 

The winners of all  the "Summer Classic" classes will receive a sash and the Open category winners (pony rider 1.10m, junior 1.30m, adult 1.35/1.40m) will also be awarded  a beautiful day sheet.  Grooms of wiining horses in these categories will also receive sashes presented on the podium.  All pony rider Summer Classic winners will be presented with a floating trophy.

Prizes for all winning grooms.  Horse treats & carrots for all the winning horses too.

Unfortunately It is too stressful and time consuming chasing unpaid entries so I now use the Payfast system which incurs charges - R15 (which covers a portion of their fee) is included in each class entry. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT IN THE EVENT OF VERY LARGE ENTRIES, THE ORGANISERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO ALTER THE DAY AND OR THE ARENA FOR CERTAIN CLASSES AND OR USE AN ADDITIONAL COURSE DESIGNER. 

YOU MAY ENTER TWO CLASSES PER HORSE IN DIFFERENT GRADES IF YOU WISH, EVEN ON DIFFERENT DAYS, BUT MAY ONLY JUMP ONE OF EACH TYPE OF CLASS - eg YOUR ENTRY MUST BE ONE TWO PHASE CLASS AND ONE SUMMER CLASSICSPEED CLASS.
