How the points work
  • National shows only, Open classes. Points depend on how many horses went through the start (scratched and withdrawn horses do not count).
  • 1st place earns 2 points per starter, 2nd earns 3 less, 3rd and 4th 2 less each, then 1 less per place.
  • Height multiplier for Adult: 1.30m x1, 1.35m x2, 1.40m x3, 1.45m x3.5, 1.50m x4, SA titles and World Cup Qualifiers x5.
  • A rider counts only their best placing in each class. If a rider has more than 3 horses in a class, the rider's points for that class are void. Horses keep their own points.
  • In mixed classes, every starter counts and each rider scores in their own age group.
  • Rankings are not an indication of current form and are not on their own used for selection. Please see the criteria for team selections.
