How the points work

National shows only, Open classes. Points depend on how many horses went through the start (scratched and withdrawn horses do not count).
1st place earns 2 points per starter, 2nd earns 3 less, 3rd and 4th 2 less each, then 1 less per place.
Height multiplier for Junior: 1.30m x1, 1.35m x2, SA titles x3.5.
A rider counts only their best placing in each class. If a rider has more than 3 horses in a class, the rider's points for that class are void. Horses keep their own points.
In mixed classes, every starter counts and each rider scores in their own age group.
Rankings are not an indication of current form and are not on their own used for selection. Please see the criteria for team selections.
